Frost on the Pumpkins

Oh friends... Do I have some exciting news from Georgia to share with all of you. Guess what the temperature was last night. Just guess. I will give you three guesses... come on!!! Ok, I will tell you. It was 26 F!!! Can you believe it? Oh it was awesome. I woke the parents up sometime between 5:30 and 6 this morning. Normally they don't get up until 7. But the chill in the air was calling to me and I had to go spend time with it.

So, Dad took me out but in his slumber he did not see what I saw. As soon as Mom got out of bed, she looked out the window. She rushed downstairs, tossed on a jacket and out the front door she flew! This is what she saw:

See that! Isn't it awesome??? Oh, do you see that fence? On the other side of it is where the horses live. They smell so good, but we did not see them out this morning. I wonder why? The cold air was wonderful. They should have been out basking in it like I was.

So my next mission was to accompany mom out in the backyard. Where there was not much frost there, the water left in my pool from a few days ago completely froze. You can't really tell in the photo since the frozen water was clear, but you can see some leaves in there. I was too fast for mom, but I did manage to jump into it and break the ice. That was way cool! Here I am checking it out.

Well friends, I just had to give you a quick report on our weather here right now. We have this wicked awesome cold snap and I am loving it like you don't know what. The high today did not even reach 60F!!!
Hugs & Kisses! Sitka

That must have been really neat to jump in the pool!

For the next week you should wake the humans up early some more so you can check to see if there's more frost!

well, I am not sure what 26F is 'cos we are metric (whatever that is!!) but it sounds pretty cold!

It is cold here now, but not much frost as that just yet.

We get snow and frost late December/Jan usually.

Lovely pics! love and icy cold licks, Marvin xxxx

WOO! That's so cool! You're one step away from a BLIZZARD (we actually hope for them here....haven't had a good one in awhile). I like your little skating rink. Mom says that's what our floor is gonna be like today. Floor guy's coming and they're going to laugh at us slipping and sliding on the new wood floor. That's stupid.

It's cold here, too, Sitka, but not THAT cold! I don't know if I'd like that. No, I don't think I would ;)

I hope you guys get some rain, soon.

Hey, are you comin to my 1st Barkday party at Disney World on Sunday? Go to Ruby's blog to make your reservation!

Puggy kisses

That is SO cool! Pretty pix, too. Jumping in an icy pool sounds so fun!
Tucker's got a great idea - you should wake your mom and dad up early every morning to check for frost! I'm sure they wouldn't want you to miss something that gives you so much pleasure!

Wow... its beautiful!!! We have never seen snow before. The weather here is hot and humid. We still need to have the air conditioning on at night.

It was colder in yur state than in PGH. Great pics! Our horsies like to run around in the turn-out outside even in the snow. Those probably were warmer-blooded horsies. We are spose to get rain turning to flurries tonight. Can't wait for the white stuff. This will be Juneau's first winter. I'm sure mommy will be snapping pics of him playing wif me in it.

Wow, it's way cooler in Georgia than Texas. I can't believe your pool was ice! It's like you're at the North Pole. ICEBERG, STRAIGHT AHEAD!! I am so jealous.

Hey Sitka! That's very cool. Maybe you'll even get some snow. Any time you want to roll in snow, ask your mom to put you on the bus to Montreal. January or February is usually a good time. We haven't even had frost here yet.

Please pass this message to Tia.

Lovely Tia,
Here's how to get a water fountain. First, you need to get your vet to tell your mom and dad to make sure that you drink lots of water since cats can have bad stuff happen in short amounts of time if they don't drink water. Next, don't drink very much of the water you have in your bowl. It's okay to drink water, just drink it out of Sitka's bowl so your mom doesn't think you're drinking anything. Make sure to put some food in your water so it gets very gross. Just continue this plot until your mom gets a guilty feeling and decides you just need fresher water to drink. One she's decided to get you a fountain, be sure to paw out that you want the grass growing adapter too so you can have some pet grass to chew on as well.

Best of luck!
