Yummies in the mail....

Woo everyone.... Guess what? When my mom checked the mail for me today, there was a cool package in there for me. She walked in and said, "Sitka, you got mail." I tilted my head to one side and said, "From who?" She bent down and let me inspect the package....

I was so excited I could barely contain myself. I asked mom, "Hey, is there a card in that envelope?" Mom said, "Yes Sitka, there is. Do you want to see who it is from?"

If you can not tell, those two awesome Siberians on the card are STEVE and KAT!!! WOO WOO. So, do you want to know what they sent to me? Their very talented mom made some YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY biscuits for me.

So, I asked mom, "May I try a cookie?" Mom answered with, "Sitka, Sit." And poof, a cookie appeared. Now, it is hard to tell... but it you look closely (at the picture above and below), the cookies have MY NAME ON IT! I think it got a little hot with that mailman delivering, but I could make out my name!!!

So, once mom handed me the cookie, I immediately laid down on the floor and proceeded to crunch that "yumminess"!

Steve and Kat (and mom too), I can not thank you all enough. The biscuits were YUMMY. They have unbleached whole wheat flour, wheat germ, egg, and milk. However, I think your mom forgot one thing... the recipe!!! Steve and Kat, can you swipe it from your mom without looking so my mom can make me some?

What a nice surprise to have when mom came home from a long day at work. Thank you both for being so sweet and sending me yummies in the mail. And thank you to your mom for taking the time to make them (Which I am sure you both supervised and taste tested to make sure they were editable).

Playing with Tia....

Well here I am playing with my sister. I just LOVE when she gives me attention and wants to PLAY with me. She tends to tolerate me for being a 14 year old.

See, when mom and dad got me, they already had two cats - Tia and Simi. They always let them beat me up, but never let me do that back to them. I heard mom saying something to dad that they wanted me to know that Simi and Tia were above me and that I was and will not be the ALPHA over them, ever.

As you will see, I did get in trouble when I put Tia's head in my mouth! After shooting the video, mom kindly reminded me that I am not allowed to do that. hump! Well, I love my sister and I love love love when she gives me attention of ANY kind!

I love my sister....

I just love my sister! I am so blessed to have her and for her to enjoy spending time with me. In the summer and sometimes during storms, I like to get in the bathtub. On this RARE occasion, I decided to hop in and take a nap and guess what? Tia joined me! she has never done this before, but it was kinda fun. Take a look at us....

Well.. up until last night, the BIG CHAIR has always "belonged" to Tia. She loves to lay in it and push aside all of the pillows. Well, this weekend, while watching The Holiday, Tia and Mom pushed aside the pillows to lay in it together. The fortunate thing for me is the pillows were left pushed aside leaving some room for me. Well, the REALLY cool thing about the BIG CHAIR is this - I LOVE my sister Tia. I often like to lay beside her, but sometimes she doesn't like me bothering her. I guess since she is 14, she is really set in her ways. Also, usually when I get near her, I LOVE to play with her. You know, the fun stuff like put her head in my mouth. However, every single time I try to do that mom gets onto me. I don't actually chomp down, I just like to hold her. I don't understand why mom doesn't realize that. Ok, so, last night was a real ... I mean REAL treat.

Tia was laying in the BIG CHAIR.... I came inside from having a potty break from the Amazing Race, ate my treat, the spotted Tia. So, I walked on over there to her and crawled up to join her in the BIG CHAIR. Look at us...

The BEST thing about this was she tolerated it. We laid there together for about 10 minutes, and through the photo session by mom, then felt like I needed to get down and lay on the sofa (my usual standby!).

I am blessed to have such a wonderful sister!!!

P.S. Several have emailed me or left a message on my blog... but we are ok from the storm system that did so much damage to Thrawn's house. We had ALOT of rain and Sunday was a very windy day (up to 50 mph gusts). Thank goodness we did not have a repeat of March 1st.

Helping mom....

Wow... Tia and I have been busy little bees helping mom with projects around the house. First off, mom makes these purses made out of ribbon. She recently got some ribbon in the mail that she ordered and got it all out to cut and prepared to make the purse. Here I am helping her ... well, maybe not helping ... supervising (with the hedgehog's carcass) if you will. The pink one is unfinished, but the red/black/white one she did a month or so ago, with my help of course!

So next... it was time for Tia to help mom with a project. That project was laundry! When mom takes the clothes out of the dryer and puts them in the chair, Tia immediately gets up and moves to lay on top of them.

See what a good job Tia does when she helps. Look at all that laundry folded! Man, she is awesome!!!

Ok... so now back to me. Next project - Make Cole Slaw for Easter Sunday. Mom said that the cabbage had to be shredded. She got down some machine to help shred up the cabbage, but I thought there was a better way to do it. Check me out...

And the BEST part about helping make this stuff called Cole Slaw... I got to LICK OUT THE BOWL! Oh yes, helping does pay off... Big Time!

Whew... we have been busy fur kids, don't ya think? Do you all help your parents with projects around the house? Toodles friends...

A Trip to Kroger....

This past weekend, I had the great duty of helping mom and dad go to Kroger. Oh course, I could not go inside for obvious reasons. Plus, since I have figured out how to unlock the car doors from inside, I can not be trusted in the car alone. Thankfully, mom stayed with me while dad went inside.


Here I am waiting in the drivers seat for dad to come back. Zim, I can not figure out how to make the car move when I am in the drivers seat. Have you figured that out yet????

Once dad got back into the jeep, it was time for me to inspect what he purchased..you know, just to make sure he bought all of the proper things.

Yup.. everything gets the Siberian Seal of Approval!!! Thank goodness that they have me to do these things for them. What would they do without me?

In Holly's Honor...

Well... this past weekend, we went to Petsmart!!! Since my beautiful friend, Holly, loves things like this, I asked mom if I could try a Pork Ear out and see if I would like it. Check me out....

Honestly... I was unsure what I was supposed to do with it. I graciously took it when mom handed it to me, as you can tell from the above photo. I played with it ALOT (scroll down to see the video of me and my Pork Ear. Please excuse my dad's funny talking at the beginning!!). I mostly horded it and kept it close to my nose. Holly, what am I supposed to do with it. I don't like to hold things with my feet when I eat them, so I need some major help here!!!

Happy Easter.....

Tia and I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Easter.

The Easter Bunny came to see me..... but I didn't get any chocolate bunnies :( My friends, Steve and Kat...well more Steve that Kat, call it the Easter Husky. Well... The Easter Bunny/Husky came to see me and Tia and brought us a little gift. Tia received a new cat nip toy. Check out the video below to see her enjoying her new toy.

I got a new toy too!!! I got a leopard print squeaky toy!!! Mom did not put music to my video so that you could HEAR the squeaking that I was making!!! Enjoy!

Ohh... Cotton Candy....

I have discovered something new and delicious. I can't help myself, in fact. My great-granna gave my mom some Cotton Candy this past weekend. So when mom brought out that fluffy stuff, she gave me a small taste of that Blue stuff. I have her so wrapped around my paw it isn't even funny.

Oh.. now what is so funny - and the picture does not tell the whole tale - but my tongue turned BLUE. Have you ever seen a Siberian with a Blue tongue? Well.. look closely... here is mine.Well.. now that I have posted my blue tongue, I think I am going to take a short nap on the laptop, then curl up into the Siberian Doughnut. Toodles my good friends...

P.S. I just noticed that the date of my pictures are wrong!!! I must get onto mom for setting the date on the camera wrong. Sigh... so much work to do in such a little time!!!

Some dogs do the froggie... I do the cross...

Hello friends...

A while ago, my handsome buddy Zim posted and asked if any dogs do the froggie. Well.. I don't, but I do the cross. When I get settled on the floor, sofa, bed...wherever I may be... I tend to cross my front two legs together (like a perfect lady). Does anyone else do this???


Now... my friend Steve said that his sister, Kat, does the reverse froggie doggie. He defines it as sleeping on your back, showing off the tummy, but the back legs are still spread out like the Froggie Doggie position. I do that... check me out.

Steak and Chicken..... YUMMO!

Oh friends... Let me just say YUMMO (per Mrs. Rachael Ray)... Tonight, I got the goods and I am not talking about a belly rub. I got STEAK.... and CHICKEN....! Whoo Hoo! Mom, Dad, Granna, Granddadders, and Great Granna went out for lunch. Mom smuggled some steak and chicken from the buffet at the Chinese place for me and my sister. When they got home from lunch, I inspected the plastic bag in mom's purse. She gave me a taste of chicken, and told me this was a treat for later. Well.. sometimes I never know how long "later" really is, you know? So, I have been such a sweet Siberian all afternoon. Snuggling by mom and dad... giving kisses... you know.... doing the stuff to suck up to the 'rents when you really want something. Ok.. so, maybe I wanted to do all of that... but I knew food would be involved :)

Ok... so some of you may be thinking and wondering... especially you, Wilber. Yes, I DID share some with my sister, Tia. Mom had a hard time getting a good picture of her taking the chicken out of mom's hands... so it is a little bright on her head. She was very appreciative that I shared with her.

And for good measure... I licked the plate just to make sure there wasn't anymore of that steak and chicken. Done. Now mom can put this plate back with all of the other clean ones.
