Favicon, Silly Photos & Puppy Photos...

Woo every pup and Girl Girl...

I have several things to share with you today (and I apologize that this will be picture heavy). First off, I got mom to help me create my favicon. We shared it with Zim of the AO4 and Stormy looked at it (she is so technologically advanced). She came up with a much cooler design that my mom did. So, be sure to look up on the URL line to see it beside my blog name.

So, what do you think? Tia grumbled because she felt she should be listed first since she is the oldest!

Ok so, Maggie tagged with a little game of - Post pictures of yourself in silly situations (which alot of these also pose for my puppy pictures). Well, I have a few that I would like to share. Some go way back to my puppy days!!! This first one was taken when I was about 3 months old. Notice how my ears looked too big for my head! Sorry for the poor quality on some of these pics (mom had to scan them in).

Ok... now.. check me out on my very first bed!!! In this picture, I was 2 months and 18 days old. Notice how much larger the bed is compared to me? Mom bought it for me thinking that she would plop down like 70 bucks for a nice big bed for me that I would have it forever!!! I fooled her! It lasted around 2 months. I begun digging in it for fun. Then, a little tear happened and cedar chips and fluffy white stuff appeared. It ALL had to come out after that!

Now check out this tennis ball!!! Ohh, I love tennis balls. However, I could not figure out how to get this one in my mouth, so I started picking off the fuzz from it, ha roo! :)

Ok... so, yes, I am aware that I have two coats of fur, but on RARE occasions, I like to get under the covers :)

Ohh... I LOVE mud! Can't you tell how happy I am to have all of this mud on me? Mom did not think it was so funny that I tried to bring muddy feet inside. Too bad she caught me to wash all of it off before allowing me to come inside.

Ohh... The BIG BED was not the only thing mom tried to plan in advance for. Check out this water bowl. Now, I ask you, "Does it really make sense that she got a water bowl bigger than me?" I mean seriously, she was just asking for me to play in it!!!

Oh, now this was a classic picture. This was on the day mom and dad got me. I was a mere 8 pound ball of fluff and 6 weeks old. Mom was so scared that I would never come out from behind the rocking chair. She knew I was lonely and scared because I was away from the only pack I knew, but soon, very soon, I came out from under that rocking chair!!!

This photo is just funny. Do you remember Caught in the Act (if not, check it out). Tia LOVES my toys and she drags them all over the house.

Well, I know that I have saved the best for last!!! I know alot of bipeds have to watch their food around their dogs, but in our house, you have to watch out for the CAT!! On this exciting day, it was TIA who tried to swipe mom's ham sandwich. Look at that face on her!!!

Tagged again...

Well friends, I have been tagged again by Kelsey and Smokey. Here is what you do. First, you list 7 interesting things about yourself and you tag some more friends. So, without further ado, here we go...

1. I like to "Hug It Out." So, you may be asking yourself what is this. Allow me to tell you. Sometimes mom asks me if I want to "Hug it out" and other times, I want to "Hug it out" without her asking. Here is how it works. Mom opens her legs and I walk halfway through. She proceeds to rub my back and I stomp my feet. We also sing "Hug it out, Hug it out, Hug it out." I love HUGS!

2. I love yellow squash! It is like crack! I will do anything that my mom wants me to do when she dangles that in front of my face!!!

3. Every Friday night, I have a family ritual that must be followed!!! When Dad comes home on Fridays, mom does not have to say anything. I am jumping all around like a crazy Siberian. I KNOW it is Friday and I KNOW what that means. I load up in the car and off to SONIC. I am greeted by those nice carhops and they bring me a mountain of Ice Cream!!!

4. Ohh, I love stuffies!! I love to carry them around, play with them, get them all broken in. Then, the mission begins. first, I have to remove it's sound maker. Then, I remove all of the insides and carry around it's carcass! Do you remember the MOOSE? Oh, here I am with my monkey!

5. I try to answer the phone when mom is not at home. Since it is on the wall, all I cando is howl and hope someone on the other end hears me. Wanna check it out?

6. Oh.. passing gas! See, when this happens, I turn around very quickly and look at my butt as if I am asking it, "Whoa, what was that?"

7. I love my mom! See, in the morning, I think it is my duty to help her get ready for work or wherever she may go. I stay right up under her. If she gets out the hair dryer, I get in the bathtub to supervise!!! Oh, and I love to give kisses!!!

Collar and Tags...

Woo everyone! Zim asked what kind of collar do we wear? Well, Zim, Tia and I would LOVE to let you and all of the other pups and Girl Girl know what kind of collars we wear.

First, we will start with Tia. Since she is the queen of the house, she asked that she be featured first. Tia has just a simple release collar in RED! That is her signature color.

Recently Mom added another jingle to her collar! I guess she really likes to hear her coming. I mean, she already has a RED heart tag and a bell. Why does she need more? Anyways, mom comes in and presents a new tag for Tia that says QUEEN! Take a closer look at it.

How cool huh? Well, don't worry Pups and Girl Girl, mom did not forget about ME! I actually have two kinds of collars. I have my normal one with all of my lovely tags to jingle around so mom hears me coming. I also have a Gentle Leader (more on that later). My collar is red (not only Tia's signature color, but mine too) with Georgia "G's" all around it. I am a HUGE University of Georgia fan (especially FOOTBALL).

So, let's zoom in a bit on those tags and talk about them. There is the one that says Princess! That is my new addition. Then I have a Military Dog Tag that mom got for me. It is engraved on both sides, cool huh? The next one is a Georgia Bulldog Tag. On the other side it has a contact # and ID # on it. If you call and enter the ID #, it pulls up ME! Last is my rabies tag. You can tell it is discolored. So, you may wonder how that happened? See, I have a problem, and it is called LICKING MY METAL TAGS! I lick them so much that I lick the writing right off of the tag!

Now, my other "collar" is my Gentle Leader. I call it my "nose". Mom is going to order me one of the ones like Zim wears. It is called Wolf Packs. They look really cool. Also, people would not mistake my "nose" for a muzzle. I kindly tell them that it is not a muzzle since my mouth is clearly opening and closing. So, last but not least... my Leash! Can you guess what kind and color it is? If you guessed UGA related and RED then you are correct!!!

Well Pups and Girl Girl, what kind of collars and leashes do you have? Girl Girl, I know you may not have one... do you want me to loan you one? ha rooo!!! You sweet Hamsterberian!

Wheat Free Treats....

Woo Woo to all! Several of you wanted to know if I had any wheat free cookies. Or if there was a substitute to the recipe I posted the other day. Well first off, mom says that you can go to a health food store and get soy, rye or oat flour to substitute for the wheat flour. Then, you can just omit the wheat germ.

I also found this recipe. Maybe some of you who are allergic to Wheat can try out the recipe below. It does look yummy!!! Also, Indy may have some thoughts. I know his mom is working on a doggy cookbook and he is allergic to wheat and some other things too (I think). So, she may have some recipes to share with all of us :) I also think that Holly's brother Sam is allergic to some stuff. So, Holly's mom may have some to share too :)

Wheat-Free Scotty Biscuits
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup rye flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk

Combine oatmeal, 3/4 cup of the rye flour, sugar and butter together. Slowly add the milk till a firm but slightly sticky dough forms. Scrape out dough onto a wooden board or counter. Knead in the rest of the rye flour till the dough stiffens a little. Wrap in saran wrap and chill for one hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out dough till 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into shapes ( I like to use scotty dog cutters). Place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake for 15 minutes. Turn off oven and let biscuits rest till cool in oven with the door closed. Store in air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.

ohhhh....COOKIES!!!

Hey everyone....

Do you remember a few weeks ago, my great friends Steve and Kat sent me some goodies in the mail??? Well, my mom emailed their mom to get the recipe! Mom has since then made me 4 batches of these yummy cookies. Just this weekend, she made another batch of them, and guess what I did? You guessed it! I supervised. The hardest part was waiting for them to cool on this cooling rack that mom put them on. I did not get any of that yummy icing that Steve and Kat's mom did for me. Hump! I need to work on getting that done. So, speaking of my cookies, are they ready yet?

Finally, they were cool enough for me to have one.... ok, so I maybe had 2 or 3.

Well... just as I started taste testing, in comes Tia. Mom put her on the counter. Why, I don't know. She never gets up there (to my knowledge). I guess she did it this time because I really wanted to play with her and mom did not want me to put her head in my mouth. This is not fair because I am not allowed on the counter. Tia gets everything. I guess being 14, she deserves that right???

Well believe it or not, Tia likes MY cookies! Mom told her that she could have some of her OWN cookies - not mine! Here she is enjoying some Tasty Temptations. I am not allowed to have any of them.

Did you see the "Tia treat" in her mouth in the above picture. It is funny. I had a good laugh when I saw that one.

Well friends, I think I am going to get back to watching American Idol. I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday night. I am still a bit sad about Fu Fu going to the Rainbow Bridge.

UPDATE COOKIE RECIPE :)

Woo everyone, here is the recipe that mom got from Steve and Kat’s mom! P.S. If you don’t have any wheat germ, you can still make these cookies without it until you get some. The icing that you can do is made from white candy drops from Wilton. They don’t have chocolate and are safe for dogs. You may can find them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You melt them, and put in a piping bag to write names or decorate the cookies. BUT, you don’t have to do that to enjoy the COOKIES!!!

Basic Dog Cookie Recipe

2 eggs

¼ cup milk

2 cups whole wheat flour (mom used the unbleached)

3 tablespoons wheat germ

Preheat oven to 350º. Blend eggs in mixing bowl. Add wheat germ and milk. Stir until smooth. Add whole wheat flour and mix into egg mixture using your hands. Roll dough about ½" thick. Cut it into shapes. Place dough 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 25 minutes on one side, then turn over and bake another 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool biscuits on racks. Makes about 16 dog biscuits.

My love and prayers go out to Fu Fu's family. He was a very special hamster who touched more lives that he will ever know. Tia and I, along with the rest of the Dogs With Blogs family, and many more, will miss him dearly.

New Cleaning Box...

Woo friends...

Sorry that I have been a slacker lately. Mom has been busy and has not been able to help me access my blog. So, I am sorry about this!!! The time is ALMOST here where she only works 2 days a week and does not have to do teach dance at night. I can't wait...

Ok, I wanted to update you on an addition to our home. Do you remember Amber reporting on getting a new Magic Cold Box? Well, we got one of those boxes that run hot water to clean dishes (when I don't get to). I thought I would share with you some of the pictures of me checking it out once it was installed (which I supervised)!

Hey Mom... I finally figured it out... It is a new Cleaning Box! Whew... now I don't have to do dish duty :)

So, what do you all think? Pretty cool huh? It has all of these lights that come on when I turn it on. All you have to do is press a button and magically it turns on. It is much quieter than the one we used to have (thank goodness). I still do my very best to stick my head inside it when mom puts in all of the dirty dishes. She tells me no, but half of the time I don't listen!!!

It is HOT, but I love my pool...

Woo to all of my great friends.

Today was just unacceptable! It was 93 today! I am not liking the way the weather is going right now. This past weekend, mom got out the POOL!!! Now, before I show you the POOL... you have to see my DEER leap off of our 5 step deck and my ZOOMIES around the backyard. Zim... listen closely... I looked for you. Please ignore my mom! She sounds like an idiot on these recordings... (PLEASE ignore the ungroomed backyard. Dad was about to cut the front yard then move to the back when I finished playing. Also, please ignore the ugly trashcan. Dad was in charge of the camera at the time and did not know not to record that.)



Ok, did you enjoy my running? It sure was fun, and believe me, I did a heck of alot more of that! I did look for my cutie ZIM, but I could not find him :( See, I was even looking in between the zoomies... Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I LOVE frogs. Well, I actually have never caught one.... but I found one in the backyard. Mom spotted me, told me to leave it, then took a picture.

Ok... so, now would you like to see the POOL! Not so fast. Have you seen me chasing the water? I love to get sprayed just about as much as I like to lay in my POOL!



Ok... NOW the POOL! Since I killed my last one, mom and dad had to go get a new one. I am sorry for the bad video work. Mom blames the video not being in focus because of the sun... personally, I just don't think she is using that as an excuse.
