Oh my dogness!!

Woo Woo Woo - A quickie!!!

So, I have to tell you what came in the mail today. I simply can not wait. I am not sure I understand exactly what it is. It's tummy moves and I can't make it stop or figure out why it is moving and making a humming sound.

See Adopt a Husky had an e-bay fundraiser and there was something there that mom just had to have!!! It is an Alaskan Husky Perfect Petzzz. It is life like and BREATHES! Anyroo, I assisted mom in opening the package and immediately went to it's tummy!!! Check out these photos of Tia and myself inspecting this fuzzy pup that yet again, I am not allowed to play with. Why the heck does the mom purchase stuff I can't play with???

Wow, this thing is pretty cool. Let me run and see if I can find where mom put it!!!

Why my toys??

Wooo Pup Friends, Wilber and Girl Girl...

How have you all been??? Mom and I have been reading your blogs this week, but have not had a chance to comment. So, I promise we will do that today before the GEORGIA / FLORIDA Game - GO DAWGS!!!!

There were two things that happened last night... I am going to share one of them with you now. The other will come tomorrow or Monday (ha roo!). Anyroo, I think that Tia is getting younger. Really! I am serious. She does not act like she is 14.5 years old. Well, not that I have anyone to compare her to, but she certainly is not acting her age. She is acting YOUNGER! Let me take a moment to count how many times she hid behind the sofa / a box / the door frame yesterday to "pounce" me..... 6 or 7 times!!! All she wanted to do was play last night. Which was cool because I like to play, but mom always wants me to calm down because I don't know that I am bigger than Tia. She is always interrupting my play session by saying stuff like - Leave it, Easy, blah blah blah! I have never in 3.5 years hurt my sister, yet mom keeps reminding me to be easy, yada yada yada. Heck, I am the one who has had blood drawn by those claws of hers.

Anyroo, I love my sister and I never would hurt her nor would I want to. I am so excited that she is being so playful. It is getting mom thinking more about getting another pup for me to jump on so I leave my sister alone, however, on the flip side, the new pup could worry the heck out of Tia too, and mom does not want that - especially since when she is home, we are all together and she does not want to separate the family.

Ok... let me get back on task. I am rambling here. So, we are sitting downstairs last night watching last week's episode of Friday Night Lights and Tia RAN upstairs. Mom heard her and got the camera ready. Do you remember this post - Caught in the Act???? Please, take a quick look before scrolling down anymore (smile).

Now that you have refreshed your memory, let me tell you one more thing. In this photo, there is a funny story to go along with it. Last week when mom came home from work, this "item" appeared on the sofa (still with the tags on it). Mom had been collecting stuffies for me and put them on the dining room table (I had no idea until now). Well, the CAT got up there and brought the "item" in question to the living room and placed it on the sofa. WOO! I was so excited when mom got home, let me out of the kitchen, and I found this new prize. Ok ok ok - I will show you the picture now....

For those eagle eyes out there - Yes, that is/was an octopus stuffie. Once Tia brought it from the dining room table last week, I played and played with it, tore a hole in it, removed it's fluffy insides and left would be it's carcass!

Yes, I know it is cute that my sister does stuff like this, but these are MY toys. Fortunately for her, I am not toy aggressive, so, when Tia comes into a room with one of my toys, I go get it and play with it once she drops it at mom's feet and gets praised!

I do love my sister, but just look at that. Have you ever seen a cat transport items from room to room with their mouth rather than scooting it on the floor with their paws! I certainly have a unique sister (I think) and I love her SOOOO Much!

Have a great Saturday m y beautiful friends.... Hugs - Sitka

***UPDATE at 7:07 pm - GO DAWGS - We beat the Gators 42 to 30! However, my gator friends, I still love you all! But, I am proud of my DAWGS!

Queen Tia Reporting...

Meow my fellow friends....

This post is a quick dual purpose post. Several of you have wanted to hear me speak. Well, unlike Sitka, I am not too camera shy. This first video I am giving my mom an earfull because I want to go outside onto the open deck! As you will see, I get my wish.

Now this video, I have some special messages for those in the Army of Four - especially for Stormy. I did complete our last mission, but I had a few words that Stormy needed to receive. I am not as vocal as the first video, but I did give Stormy some sign language - she is SOOO smart, I am sure she will understand. I hope you all do too! Oh, Sitka does make a brief appearance in my message to Stormy. However, she did not answer when Mom asked her a question. See for yourself.

Meows to everyone. I promise that we will be commenting on your blogs today. We have been checking in on you all, but have not been commenting, and Sitka and I are both sorry for that. Life has been crazy!!!!

Meows - Tia

Nice weather...

Woo Pups, Wilber, and Girl Girl...

I don't know how the weather has been for all of you, but here it has been lovely the past few days. The days have been about 76ish and the nights 45ish!! HA ROOO! I can't wait for it to be colder, but this sure beats the heck out of 95 during the day and 75 at night. Anyroo, Friday when mom got home from work, she decided to clean off our screened in porch since it was cool. Man, alot of dirt and crap had gotten tossed everywhere, but within an hour, we had it spotless (ok almost)! So, mom has been leaving our french doors from the den to the screened in porch open. Let's see, Friday night, open. Saturday (all day), open. Currently Sunday afternoon, open and the entire fam is outside enjoying the cool weather. It is so nice! Here are some photos of Tia and I checking things out. (P.S. The 2nd photo, something in the air caught my attention.)

I am not sure why Tia was allowed on the table and not be. It does not seem fair. I mean, Turbo is allowed to get on tables. Anyroo, wait a second, something is outside.

I asked mom to go outside and check things out for me. Here is what she had to report. Sitka, I found a Monarch Butterfly at the Butterfly Bush. Oh, and I also found you looking at me through the porch screen. Lastly, I found some Lantana. Another shrub/bush that Butterflies like to feed from.

Humm, Her findings sparked my interest. I asked her to take me outside and let me check things out for myself. So, Dad took me out instead. Now, an interesting turn of events. Tia has never been one for the outside. She is 14.5 (as some of you may know) and has really never been outside past a screened in porch. Well, she got brave yesterday. Mom was right beside her while she checked out the deck and yard. Check out these photos...

I must say, this upset me. See, my sister does not come outside and that confused me. I immediately rushed to her side and herded her back onto the deck. We stopped to smell the Geranium before going back into the porch. Once we were there, Tia assumed her position on one of her many thrones in our house (humm, this appears to be a new throne).

Whew! It has been a long weekend, but I have enjoyed spending time with my family and watching my University of Georgia Dawgs pull out a win against Vandy! I promise if I have not gotten to your blog this weekend, I will. It was a busy week for mom last week.

Anyroo! Hugs to all of you and head over to Steve and Kat's blog. Today is their 1st birthday!

Something happened today

Woo Pup & Kitty Friends and Girl Girl...

Something happened today... Mom left for work this morning and my pool was outside with a little bit of rain water in it from yesterday. Everything looked fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. Until she came home....

She took me outside to potty and noticed something....

Humm... What is that I see in my pool? Let's take a closer look (warning - you may not like what you see)...

OH MY DOGNESS! It is the Evil Squirrel! It is in my pool. What is it doing? How did it get there? Why is it in my pool? How...what... who... when did this happen?
What do you think friends? Do you think the poor squirrel tried to dive off our porch and take a dip??? Did he commit squirrel suicide??? It is a mystery. Do you have any thoughts as to how this happened???
Hugs! Sitka

Theme Song & Tagged by the Z-man

Wooo friends...

Last week Storm tagged me to play the Theme Song game. I have been really stressing about this one. There are several songs that mom and dad change the words to. Sometimes we will be just driving down the highway, and a song will come on. Mom will start making up words that include me. Unfortunately she does not remember what those are. But, there are several that she will walk around the house and sing to Tia and myself. The first one is (Based on a Beatles Song):

All you need is Fur Fur, Fur is all you need.

I know I know, not to jazzy like some of the ones you all have come up with. The second one is (and you will really get it if you watched the TV show "So you think you can dance"):

So you think you got FUR FUR FUR!

I am probably sure you did not get "wooed" by those very much, but right now, that is all Tia and I can come up with.

Moving right along.... I asked Zim to interview me in this new Tag game that is going around. Zim's questions will appear in blue (since that is his signature color).

1. Have you and Tia always gotten along? I would LOVE to say YES to this question. I adore my sister. Yes she does drag my toys, but other than that, she totally rocks! I do have to say that I was much closer to my brother Simi before he passed away. Before he passed, Tia really wanted nothing to do with me. She did her own thing and let Simi and myself play around! But after he passed, she totally wants to play with me. She will hide behind a door and crouch down, wiggle her back legs, and just as I walk towards her, she busts out and pounces on me. That really gets me wound up and we go into a round of zoomies. Ok, basically I chase Tia to the Sofa, then I zoom around and as I come her way, she paws at me. It is sooooo fun!!! I love when she gives me attention.

2. To Tia: What did you think when your parents brought Sitka home? I am pretty sure I remember thinking, "You gotta be kiddin' me!" Simi and I had been living in our new house for little over a year at the time. Mom told us that her and Dad were going to Little Huskies Kennel to look at some Siberians. I said, "A Siberian what?" At any rate, they came back with this 8 lb ball of fluff that was actually a bit smaller than me. In the beginning it was pretty cool. Simi and I would tag team and paw the mess out of Sitka. Oh course, mom allowed this because something about wanting to Teach Sitka that Simi and I were the alpha over Sitka. I just loved the idea that I could thwack the dog and not get fussed at! I do have to say, she was a nice pup and very cute. Simi took to her immediately, but it took me some time to really bond with her. Like Sitka said above, we really didn't bond until Simi passed.

3. What did you think of the ocean the first time you saw it? This is a good question Zim. I really was very unsure of it. It had no boundaries and that scared me a bit. Also, the first time I saw it, the waves were really heavy. I liked to play in the shallow part - you know, where the water was about 1/2 inch deep!!!

4. What is your FAVORITE walk to go on? Well, I have two different walks around our neighborhood. One is the LONG route when it is cooler weather. That one is 2-3 miles. My other walk is the SHORT walk and it is about a mile. On either walk, I know when to turn right or left without mom saying so. Pretty cool, eh? My 3rd favorite walk would be on the beach!!! I LOVE to stop and dig or jump into the ocean and root my snout in the water.

5. How did you get your name? Oh, I like this question. Mom and Dad wanted to give me an "Alaskan" Name. Now, by that I mean that they wanted to name me a City in Alaska. So, before they got me, they opened up the Atlas and started searching. They kept going back to "Sitka" and thought it was such a beautiful name. About a year after my parents got me, we had a friend who went to Alaska on vacation and stopped by Sitka, AK. They told us it was one of the most beautiful cities they had ever seen, and even brought me (ok, brought mom) a magnet that says "Sitka, Alaska". Here is a photo of a photo of me being held up by the magnet. In this photo, I was about 8 or 9 weeks old.

So now.......... I am offering to interview some of you! Here are the rules if you want me to interview you:
1. If you are interested in being interviewed, leave me a comment saying, 'interview me.'
2. I will respond by posting five questions for you. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with a post containing your answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Well friends, I hope you enjoyed this interview by my handsome Z-Man as much as I did. Hugs and toodles to you all :)

Mail Call

Well friends, last Saturday when I returned home from the beach, there was a package waiting for me. Guess who it was from??? The FIVE HAPPY HOUNDS! Wow, they are so cool! I could barely wait for mom to help me claw through the tape on the box. Once we did, Mom laid everything out on the chair so that I could see what was in the box easier.... Let's take a look, shall we.

Oh my dogness! I can not believe all of the goodies that were stuffed (ha roo) inside the box. Let me share with you what was in the box. First, there was a sweet note from the hound's mom to my mom! You may not be able to tell, but I have my nose (or as Zim calls it - Snooter) on the card. It is a black lab on the card. In the above photo, to the left of the card, there are these COOL stickers for mom to put on the windows alerting the firefighters that there are animals in the house. What a cool gift to give. Right behind that, there is a sweet book that their mom send to my mom. It is called "Blessings for Dogs" and has all of these sweet quotes and stories in it. Mom says, "THANK YOU!!!"

So, moving right along. The hounds sent Tia and I a note as well!!! So, let's get down to business. This photo below demonstrates me playing with my new GREEN Man! Oh, he is so fun. He has a squeaker inside his belly that I have not yet removed (can you believe it?). He also has this fleecy fur that is so fun to pull with my teeth, ha roo!.

Oh, this has to be my most favorite toy! It is a tennis ball with a purple face fuzzy cover over it. Oh my dogness! It is super fun to play with. Surprisingly it has not been destroyed either. Wow, these hounds are good with picking out toys!

There was one more toy that they sent to me. It is a red snake. I want to share a video with you of what I like to do with it!

Oh friends, they did not leave out Tia! How sweet are they. They sent her these treats called Natural Purrz! They are chicken flavored and she LOVES them! She begs for treats everytime I come inside from having gone outside to potty. Now, explain the rationale behind that!!!

I have to say that Tia is pretty spry for a 14.5 year old. She still stands up on her back legs to get treats. Wow! I hope I can do what she does when I am her age.

Speaking of treats! I got some too. Oh my godness! I got two kinds of treats. The first one (Lamb Jerky Treats) is pictured below (note: do you see my tongue?). I think these lamb jerkies are the best I have ever had. Mom must order me more from the hound's store. The second one (Zuke's Dental bones) are these cool fresh breath clean teeth treats. YUMM is all I can about both of them.

yummmm.........
One last thing... Tia did receive a toy! It is a frog and it has cat nip inside it's belly. I have tried my best (several times) to steal her toy. Heck, she steals mine. Look at her! She is already rolling over the toy.

After a good rolling session, she put the frog in her mouth, jumped off her ottoman, and up on the arm of the sofa. She set down her frog, laid on top of it, and took a nap!

Oh everyone, you too can have some of these toys and treats! There are links throughout my post today that link to their online store. You should check it out. They have some AWESOME stuff over there for sale.

Hugs to everyone and another HUGE thanks to Thrawn, Tucker, Dot, Sam and Bear (and their mom) for all of our loot!

AO4 - I have not forgot about my tag on songs. I am working on it!!! Kisses!
