The Harbor Report: News Edition

Happy Tuesday!

Dutch Harbor, AK
Current Conditions: 46F, 8C, Partly Cloudy

Wooo every one! I am so sorry it has been so long since we posted. We have had alot going on here at home. First, our Internet went out. It was out for almost 5 days and it was cramping my style. But Dad managed to get it fixed for me. A puppy has to have her daily entertainment :) Any roo, My mom's grandma had to have surgery on the 11th of this month. She had to have a partial hip replacement. Well the next day, she suffered a Massive Stroke on the right side of the brain. Mom said it was in the MCA, which basically is the main artery on the right side. Unfortunately, she passed away on the 17th (which was her 80th Birthday). Mom has been pretty heartbroken and in shock, so that is why we have been missing in action. We promise to catch up on blogs (we just checked; Google Reader said 751 unread). We will do our best to read all of them, but may not comment.

So while mom was spending lots of time at the hospital, we were busy at home looking cute and sleeping.

Tia has asked for a few words on my post today. So I will turn the blog over to her. Puppy Woos to all of you, Cornelia Marie.

Meow my friends. It has been a long time. I need to report on something that happened this morning. Somehow, someway, some red and white puppy (AKA Cornelia Marie) took my green frog hostage. She proceeded to slobber all over it and then something terrible happened. Mom took it from her and we noticed that Mr. Frog is about to loose an arm. MEOW! I am not happy about this. I don't understand why the puppy is attracted to my cat toys, but she needs to get over it and leave MY stuff alone. Here I am checking out Mr. Frog. And below the photo is a photo of his little broken arm.

I hope that mom can perform surgery on Mr. Frog and help make his arm better. I am not a happy Tia on this situation. If that puppy gets ahold of Mr. Frog again, the claws will come out!

Sitka, Cornelia Marie, Mom, Dad and myself hope that you all are doing well.
Meow,
Tia

Woos & a-roos, heartfelt sympathy to your mom & her biped family. Maybe grandma will give pets & skritches to all the pups & kitties at the RB whom we love.

Woo guys DO look cute! And comfy.... and don't worry 'bout Mr. Frog, Tia, if he's unfixable, 3-legged frogs do just fine. He will live to hop another day. (But not for long if he keeps hopping into CM's jaws!)

Hi Cornelia cutie, Sitka and Tia,

I was so sorry to read about your Grandma's passing, our deepest condolences. I read about it on Khyra's blog, I looked out as instructed and there was a beautiful new star.. really bright and twinkly.. I knew then that she had arrived safely. Me and my family want to send your Mom.. and all of you of course, lots and lots of love and hugs.. many a dog howled at the moon that night just as Khyra told us to!

Just be sure to give your Momma lots of extra love for a while ok?

Tia.. I hope the surgery on Mr Frog goes well.. then i think you should find a good hiding place for him.. away from inquisitive little puppys!

love, licks and tailwags,

Ben xxxxx

Ha roo, all you gorgeous Southern belles! Wowzers, we've missed you - but know you've been busy helping your mom and all. You know how terribly sorry we are about Nana.
C-Marie, I can't believe how BIG you look now! Yikes, are you growing, little pupster! And Sitka... oh, my Sitka. You look so incredibly lovely laying on the sofa. Sigh. Oh, to curl up there with you!
And Tia! Mmmm-row! Sorry about Mr. Froggie. Mom's pretty skilled at that kind of surgery, so if your mom can't swing it, you can send him here. Mom will just have to keep him away from the Jaws of Steel and Dave "Where Did Wonky Go?" Seriously.
Play bows,
Zimmie

what a sad time for all of you. Maybe cornelia needed some extra comfort from froggy during these stressful times you've all been having. But, you're quite right, she should leave your toys alone. Until then, give everyone big hugs and kisses from us.

We're still sad when we think about your mom losing her nana. :-(

Cornelia Marie! You look like a grown up puppy! Wow!

Tia, I see your furry beast is causing trouble. Just scratch her while she's sleeping in her crate and can't get to you.

We are sorry to hear about your nana. Tell your mom that you guys don't need to worry about reading that many blogs. Just clear them and start from today.

Mr. Frog will probably be just fine after surgery, although he might need some physical therapy. Maybe if your mom can transplant a little nip into him, you can help him with that.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mum's grandma. I hope your mum is feeling better by now, knowing that how close she was to her grandma, she is going to miss her grandma for a long long time.

Cornelia Marie, I can't believe that you have grew so much so fast! From the pictures, it look like you are almost as big as Sitka now. You are getting prettier everytime I see you.

Tia, I am sure your mum will be able to save your froggie toy's arm. I think he needs a bath real badly. Your little red sissy must have love you too much that is why she think that whatever you play with are fun so she wanted to try it out too.

Luv

We are all so happy to see you are back but we are still sad for Nana. Time heals all.

We have a frog here too and he is missing an eye. No kitties here.

Cute, cute, cute is the way to describe those pics.

SOrry it has been so crazy over at your house. If Mr Frog was here, Tanner would have him ingested before you could blink, so be happy it is just a little hurty arm!

We are so sorry about your mom and her Nana. Its a hard thing with stuff like that happens.

We see Cornelia Marie share's her 1/2 brother Eddie's love of frogs. Well, Eddie likes the live ones but its frogs anyway. Hopefully your Mom can repair Tia's frog. We hate to think of the alternative, ooooh claws.

Anyway, we are getting packages ready for some puppy's 1/2 birthdays and those will go out in the mail soon.
