Announcement for Mom

Woo!

Today we wanted to share Mom's new blog with you all. However, this new blog still relates to us! Don't you all think we are letting her create a new blog that doesn't revolve around us in some way.

See, Mom and Dad like to cook together. And 99% of all Saturday's they cook together. They started a new "tradition" called New Recipe Saturday back in May.

So you wonder how we are involved, right? Well, I am the executive sous-chef. Sitka is too, but she mainly does supervision stuff and I do the actual assisting with cooking, cutting veggies, taste testing. Ok, Sitka does taste test as well.

A few things to remind you of...

• Sitka made an Apple Cake
• I tried to attack a Pineapple
• We both work in the garden. See here, and here.
  
• We make Wooscotti
• We assist with the making of chocolate truffles
• Even quality control is enforced on store bought pizza
• Most recently, we assisted mom with making a Tart and Banana Bread (see photos below)

So, as you can see, we are very active in the kitchen and even though Mom has a new blog sharing recipes with you all, we are still involved.

So, her new site is called New Recipe Saturday. Every Saturday she features a new recipe, and during the week she has been posting older recipes and new ones as well (like last night's Honey Lime Chicken Sandwich).

A Queen's Life

Meow my friends...

Long time no purr, MEOW! Anymeow, Mom took some photos of yours truly and I wanted to share a few of them with you.

In addition to lounging around, I have taught the little red one to give me a pedicure. Whatcha think about that??

Garden Update

Hello my friends...

We have a little garden update for you all. We are sad to announce that our squash did not make it :( They developed some sort of sickness that Dad could not bring them back from. But, good news is that we have tons of Okra, Tomatoes, Tomatillos, and Cucumbers. Let's see what is going on in the garden....

Here we are supervising the garden area... (beyond CM is our garlic... which is about ready to be dug up)
So what am I intently looking at? The Okra and Tomatillos of course. Let's see... Okra, tomatillo, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers. Mmmmmmm

Can you believe that all of this started from these seed packets? Moving right along.... let's see a few things from our garden..

My Sitka...

Meow my friends...

The other night I shared the bed with my two furry sisters. However, I prefer curling up by Sitka. See, Sitka has been sleeping under the bed since it has gotten hot. And the other night, she slept on the bed! I took full advantage and went and curled up right against her! Don't I look comfy and happy? Do you see her paw sticking out from under me? Meow!

Additionally, I let the little red one up on the bed. I like this photo. Look at all three of them below and look at our heads. Sitka never moves, but Cornelia Marie and I move in unison. I have no idea what caught our attention, but it sure made for a cool series of photos, right?


Well, I hope you all are having a great Friday! We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend with our mom and dad!

P.S. Mom said she was sorry the pillows were all messed up. See, the little red one had to make the bed comfy and she rooted up the pillows from under the quilt. Silly puppy.

4 Years Ago Today

Time sure does fly! It is very hard to believe that 4 years ago today, my brother, Simi, went to the Rainbow Bridge. I wanted to take a moment today and remember him and let him know that we all love him very much and still think of him ever day. Here are some photos of Simi that were always our favorite!

He was always known as the "laptop cat" for this obvious reason. If you left the laptop for more than 2 seconds, he was laying right on it when you returned!
